About Trin

Trinity Howell is a violist and music educator from Columbia, SC. As an arts advocate, Howell splits her time between teaching, performing, and working as the Assistant Grants Coordinator with the South Carolina Arts Commission.

Her musical interests began in fifth grade Guitar Club, before the viola eventually stole her heart. Howell is a graduate of Winthrop University and Illinois State University, where she studied viola performance, music research, and string pedagogy. She has performed with several regional orchestras in Central Illinois and across South Carolina. Howell has also performed in concerts with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and the Atlanta-based Renaissance Orchestra. You can currently watch her perform with the Charlotte Strings Collective, an ensemble of musicians highlighting classical music by black composers, and the Summerville Orchestra.

In her free time, Howell enjoys hiking, visiting amusement parks, and building miniature designs.
